Police Segway

Though Indy is great, my brief layover in Chicago makes me miss big cities. I had to swith terminal, so I had a bit of walking to do. Two escalators and several moving side walks later, I arrived to my gate.

On the way I passed a police officer riding a Segway – one of two-wheeled gigs you ride standing up. I once rode one in Times Square. They are really cool.

Making everything that much cooler is my iPod. Nothing beets having a personal soundtrack when you travel. But in Indy I rarely use it because we drive everywhere. Then again, in Indy, I don’t have to spend $9 for a salad and coke.

Gmail Stock Plummets

A few weeks ago, I sold a Gmail account for $75. The market has dropped to less than $20 since it appears Google has offered up a bunch more for free. I was given another three invitations to give out. Who will be the lucky winners? We’ll see.

I leave for Vancouver tomorrow morning at 6 a.m.

Three boards

In the last month, I’ve spent most of my time doing tech support at the office and very little web development. It takes a lot of time keeping 40 PCs, 12 printers, four servers, and one phone system running. Though I’m having fun, I hope to have more web development time.

This weekend Lambda Chi’s three boards are in town. Also arriving are a half-dozen new staff members. Plus I’ll be on vacation all next week in Vancouver. Lots to prepare in just a few days.

Indianapolis 500

The Indianapolis 500 was great last weekend. Though it rained off and on, we all managed to have a good time. The race started late, had a one-hour intermission, and eventually ended after 180 (of 200) laps, all due to rain.

Two fraternity buddies of my from Elon came up from Raleigh to enjoy the race with me. Thanks Martin Hill and Shawn West for making the trip. It was a blast.

This past week has been busy. In fact, I’m finding it tough to post as frequetly as I’d like to. Next week, I’ll be busy getting laptops ready for the new educational leadership consultants (ELCs) that will soon arrive to headquarters. The following week, I’ll be in Vancouver for a little vacation.

BMW drivers have more sex

A new friend of mine, who happens to drive a BMW, sent me this story. As an Audi driver, I have to agree.

The survey of 2,253 motorists age 20 to 50 showed that BMW drivers have sex an average of 2.2 times a week, followed by Audi drivers who reported having sex 2.1 times a week. Volkswagen drivers ranked third in the survey, having sex an average of 1.9 times a week. The survey was done by German car magazine Men’s Car, which launched its inaugural issue this month.
