I was wondering what the St. Louis Veiled Prophet Parade was all about. I still don’t know, but at least I now know what they look like.

I’m not an artist, but I always thought the art was completed before the frame. Doesn’t appear to be the case on this brick wall. Frankly, I think the empty frames are perfect just the way they are.

Do you see it? I’m talking about the arrow cleverly hidden between the E and X in the FedEx logo. Once I discovered the arrow, it’s all I can see. I experienced a similar fixation when I discovered breast as a teenager.

This weekend, I head to St. Louis to meet the folks and grandmother Momsi. I’m bringing with me The Phaidon Atlas of Contemporary World Architecture as a late Father’s Day gift. Dad spotted this book while strolling through a Pottery Barn with me a few months ago. It’s a huge book, loaded with photos of contemporary buildings and interiors. Next time you are in Pottery Barn, look for this book, grab a seat on one of their comfortable couches, and enjoy.
