Hanga Nui Hotu Iti

Hanga Nui Hotu Iti

Today, I likely had the most remote lunch I’ll ever have. I packed a picnic lunch, drove to the East side of Easter Island, and ate it while overlooking the moai at Hanga Nui Hotu Iti and the Rano Raraku Quarry, from which all of the island’s moai were created.

I’m sure I’ll never eat lunch here again for the rest of my life. To be technical about it all, my hotel provided me my picnic lunch. So I won’t be eating here on Friday for lunch, just to be sure.
