Finding Your Way

Finding Your Way

Dear Public Transportation Experts,

On behalf of the millions of people who ride your planes, trains, ferries, and subways, I have an idea that will help us find our way.

Install or paint a simple compass on the sidewalk of every exit. As passengers depart, they can quickly determine which way is north.

Sure, the maps you place on the walls near exits are very useful. But they are not as effective if the user can’t determine which way is north when he or she exits the station.

Nothing fancy is required. A simple and universal arrow pointing north would be splended.

Sincerely,
Mr. Nev Erask Fordirections
